The email in my Spam Detector folder was addressed to an email address similar to mine but not mine. Why/how can this happen? Thank you.

You were probably on the Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy) list. Spammers frequently send messages to one addressee and Bcc many other users on the same email server with similar email addresses.

I cannot block this sender because they constantly change their email address so I am trying to use filters to stop them.
