Incoming email rejected or delayed

For the last 10 days or so (that I know of), ome ssenders of email to me have been getting reject notices. I've turned off my spam blocker but that was not the problem. I've added some of the sending domains to my allowed list but that didn't help. Then today at about 3.30am, I receive a flurry of resent emails from the last 3 days. I've had the same thing happen for periods of time at least twice befor over the past few years I've tried the support desk and got nowhere very slowly (like over an hour) One thing to note is that I use an email forwarding service (and yes, I have checked that the problem is not there. It is at the Verizon end) What is going on? How can it be fixed? How can I detect when there is a problem in the futures? My best guess is that Verizon has a second spam filtering tool, invisible to users and somehow block certain email traffic I've already diverted two of my accounts to other providers, but I pay for the Verizon service and I'd like for it to work and not have to pay for another service in order for email to be reliable I'd appreciate a truthful, knowledgeable response from someone on this forum from Verizon. Just tell us the real deal, so we can make informed decisions

There are several anti spam things involved

  1. your antivirus firewall may have an anti spam - likeverizon's mcafee software has an anti spam feature
  2. Verizon has their Spam Blocker in their webmail Client
  3. Verizon has a head end anti spam company that does their spam monitoring.
  4. and then most anti spam company's have an anti spam gateway that it hits before it hits anything else.

So usually there are four places for spam that are involved.  at least

So between 3and 4, a significant portion of my legitimate. Email is getting thrown away without my knowledge. American airlines, my mother, myself. For example. That's not very useful 😞

There is a safe senders list that you could use.  also are they simply not arriving at vz's webmail??   do you have email forwarding turned on or do you have (on any home or work pc) any email software like outlook or thunderbird?

So how do we get to the safe senders list? I see no reference to it.

Please help. I cannot find the settings for email that let me add to a "safe sender" list. I have a password reset email that is not getting through to me, and I need to reset the password. I see the advice given, but when I go to my account, the set up is all different than what you describe. Has Verizon changed the format? Please help me! Thanks!

Launch Webmail

Settings ---> Email Settings --> Blocking

Scroll all the way down

Then click on Safe Senders
