Has anyone else had the problem of Verizon losing email? I have them in Thunderbird, but they never show up in our Verizon account

Yes, I began to lose almost all email messages about a week and a half ago. I have gone from about 40 emails per day, done to one or two. I have tried everything I know. I am not having any other problems with my computer, and sending emails does not seem to be a problem. I have run virus, spyware, and malware detectors and nothing was found. I used system restore to a point before I began losing emails and that did not work. I do receive some emails on my phone, but my PC does not receive them. I have 4 emails accounts on my Verizon account and it is affecting all of them. I have changed the settings as Verizon has instructed and they tested OK, sending and receiving the test message.

Your prolems sounds like mine. And since they pre-date loading Thunderbird, that can't be the cause. PLEASE let me know if you find any solutions!

Check your Thunderbird server settings. Unless you check the "Leave messages on server" box, Thunderbird will delete mail when it is downloaded.
If you have multiple email accounts in Thunderbird, the server settings should be checked for each.

Any time mail disappears from the server, there's a pretty good chance there's some device pulling it off. This can happen even without you intending it to. For example, the default Verizon setup for a long time (and possibly still) configured Outlook automatically unless you were paying attention and unchecked the box during the install.
The easiest way to fix it is to change your password. Once the device(s) can no longer authenticate, the disappearances should stop.
Once you've stopped the messages from disappearing, one at a time, update the password in your email clients/devices. Give at least a full day of checking messages with just that device added before adding another one. If your messages start disappearing after changing a device, then that device is the culprit.
