Is there anymore information on this move? Will the yahoo.verizon emails continue to work? How long if yes? Anyone?

Spent hours on chat line with Verizon yesterday on this same issue. I use Outlook to read email, and I am getting annoying little widows popping up, requesting I log in.
Verizon was of no assistance. Just said to log into my Yahoo account. Unfortunately I do not now, and never had, a Yahoo account.
Now, I just want to move all my old emails before closing Verizon, and signing up with Optimum.

Actually, if you use Verizon-Yahoo mail, then you really do have a Yahoo account! Go to https://mail.yahoo.com/ and log-in with your @verizon.net email address. If you don't know your password, use the password recovery or password reset link.
