When trying to send an email from Outlook 2016 (Mac) I get this error:
"Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods."
Error:-17895
I NEVER had a problem on Outlook 2011. As soon as I upgraded to Outlook 2016, this started occurring. It usually takes 2 or 3 'sends' before the email is FINALLY sent.
All of my settings are as they were before (pop, smtp, 995, 465, etc.), and obviously the message DOES get sent eventually.
However, it's frustrating and annoying because most of the time it doesn't send on the first try.
I've read this 'suggestion' on several postings similar to this:
"It turned out to be a mail server issue, which our ISP managed to resolve using the information provided above."
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Isn't Outlook 2016 still a beta? If so I suggest talking to Microsoft.
Upgrading to 20126 might not be your problem. I get the same error messages and I'm (still) using Outlook 2011
Hope this helps you and maybe someone out there has a clue...
