This is actually for my wife, but if I figure it is happeneing to her it may be happening to my entire family as well. I have not been gettting a lot of emails from firends, so maybe it is happening to me too. A friend of ours has told us every time she sends my wife and email she gets the error message below. It only happens with sending to my wife. She can send to other people just fine. Any idea what the issue is?

Just noticed that the person trying to send the e-mail to you is using Yahoo.
I am having the same issue with users on Yahoo Webmail trying to send to my verizon e-mail.
Sounds like Verizon is having trouble with Yahoo -- should have nothing to do with your settings. If you
want to convince yourself of this, you'll notice that senders have problems even when your computer is turned off.
I spent an hour on chat with Verizon yesterday, and they said it's a "known issue" with Yahoo.
Yahoo says it's a problem with Verizon, and told me to contact postmaster@verizon.net and to ask them to contact Yahoo with this link:

I spent an unproductive hour on chat with Verizon too, but they didn't offer this as an explanation (nor did they acknowledge a problem).
I certainly know about the problem from 2 senders using plain Yahoo (not Verizon Yahoo) but I also know of a problem with a non-Yahoo sender.
Hi! I am a first time poster to this forum.
I am having this issue as well. Six months ago my husband and I got FIOS TV and Internet and began the long process of switching our email to a verizon.net account. I am an active volunteer in my community, so I get a lot of emails. Once I switched to verizon.net, my email troubles began.
One situation involves a sender from hotmail.com. On some days, she can email me. On other days, her emails to me get bounced back to her as undeliverable, and I never get them. On other days she gets an error message that her email to me is undeliverable but then I get it 24 hours later. The error message is "verizon.net unreachable for too long."
The second situation involves an account at yahoo.com. Since it is an account for an organization that I volunteer in, I can see that when we send out a mass email to 60 different emails, all the verizon.net emails get bounced back from time to time. Again, not every message that is sent from yahoo.com is bounced back, but from time to time, the yahoo.com email cannot get through to the verizon.net addresses (including mine).
Now another individual approached me tonight that his email got bounced back to me from a comcast.net account.
This is unacceptable! This is my email service. How can 80% of my emails from one individual be delivered, but the other 20% cannot make it through? What can I do about this???? I am paying a lot for the FIOS internet and TV and would hate to abandon the email component - but I may have to if this is not resolved.

P.S. I already filled out the whitelist form. My gut is telling me this has nothing to do with spam. I am hoping someone can help me from the Verizon side.
