I rec'd an e-mail from verizon to update server settings third attempt to reach me? What is this and I am not sure what settings I have currently. Need tech to help me .

1. This is a peer-to-peer support forum. If you want to get a message to Verizon, you should contact them directly via one of the options on their Contact Us page.
2. These settings would need to be changed in your email client (ex. Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc.) so you can continue to send/receive mail.

If you are a xxx@verizon.net customer, ignore any Verizon "Dear Valued Customer" instructions telling you to reconfigure your incoming/outgoing settings. Keep your incoming Port 110 and Outgoing Port 25. Otherwise you will experience "time-out" notices, i.e. inability to send out email in plain language

Tries that already - didn't help. But thanks for helping. I tried reverting to the old settings but it did not work. It is sending email messages just fine. I am logged onto verizon web and can read the email there and see the test messages. Is there a way to change the message format to be compatible? I am using Outlook 7
