With the help of a Verizon rep, I was able to change my settings to comply with the new incoming/outgoing settings and all works well. That was 2-3 weeks ago. But I am still getting notices from Verizon that I haven't updated my settings. Am I missing something or is Verizon just behind? I double checked all my preferences (Mac Mail) and everything is in order - ????

Since the new settings are working, just ignore the reminders. That's what I do. I suspect those are batch emails and Verizon is sending reminders to all subscribers. It is doubtful that they are monitoring each account to see which ones have been updated. I'm not even sure they have that ability since the changes are made on the user's computer.

I know at least one person has posted that they hadn't made the changes in a program called MailWasherPro that they were using. The changes also apply to any devices (smart phones, tablets, etc.) that you are accessing your mail through.

I have used MailWasher for quite some time. Turned out that the recent VZ server changes did indeed require the latest MailWasher version for satisfactory performance. Strange but true.
