Seems like Firefox solved my problem. Thanks a lot for your help. I've been living with this problem for over a week. Constant requests to Verizon and Yahoo for help only resulted in them passing responsibility back and forth to each other. The Indian techs are no help at all and they just further a persons problem.
Welcome the the forum. Are you using Yahoo/VZ mail or standard Verizon webmail https://mail.verizon.com/webmail/driver?nimlet=showmessages&view=emails
In either case please try a different browser such as firebox in place of Internet explorer (or vice versa)

If none of this applies or helps please let us know what Operating system you are running as well as the browser and the version number.
