I live in Texas and trying to help a client in Maryland setup their Verizon POP3 emails into Outlook 2013. This is pretty straightforward and have done it many times using various other providers. Followed the steps in Verizon's guide for doing this and it simply does not work. Basically it rejects the user id/password. I can see many recent posts in their user forum relating to this subject and pretty much the answer is to use their web portal to get your Verizon.net emails!!! Some people say it started happening about a week ago.
Does anyone know if Verizon has basically shut down this feature???
I read in one post that certain states are being moved to AOL.com mail but Maryland was not on the list.
Is this a network problem that they are working on or should I just give up and advise the client to switch to ATT which has a much better infastructure for doing this. I've never ever seen this type of problem with ATT to be honest.
Thanks,
etsherman
