Verizon notifications are going to the wrong email address

I recently changed my email provider.  I updated my Verizon account with the new email address, but Verizon notifications are still going to the old address.  How do I update this to the correct address?

Hi log in to your Verizon account where you have option to change or update your primary E-Mail...........

That is right, but I still get some emails to my old address... Very strange. Verizon company updates and newsletters go to the old ones. Bills and such go to the new one...

I am still getting verizon promotional emails to my old email address, and not my new address. I contacted support and they said all the email addresses were the new addresses. So... No one can figure out why I get some account info and promotional emails to my old address (not in the user preference center anywhere - and not the email forwarding address either) and some go to the new address.

Is there a separate list server that handles some of these emails?  Something that wouldn't automatically be updated with a change in the system to the primary email???
