Verizon to aol email migration

Newbie

I currently have a @verizon.net email and I want to keep that.

I am a verizon wireless only customer.

I donot have verizon as my isp.  I use windows live mail to send and receive emails, the server settings pop/smtp for incomming and outgoing are verizon.net. I received several emails saying I need to convert to AOL. I have tried numerous times  with no luck so far. I talked to someone verizon help who said log onto AOL create a user id which is ...@aol.com, after some discussion and looking at verizon emails that is not what I want and not what the email say to do. The mails say to creat a verizon.net aol sign on. That is not an option on the aol signup screen.

I read where others use an option found in webmail dashboard. I dont have webmail, when i try to sign in  i get the wireless home page with my wireless account info. No where is there a link to webmail.....

Does anybody know what I need to do the effective date per the email is April 7.

Hi skywill1,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and scroll down the page to an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name located above your post, or at the top right of this page.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, you may subscribe to the case. At the top right of your support case there is a gear icon which provides a drop down menu with support case options. Click that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
