Ever since there was some kind of security upgrade a few weeks ago, I keep having to sign in to my email, even when I check off that box that says to keep me signed in. How can I not have to sign in? Getting old doing it 10 times a day.

very good question. on top of signing in each time, it take me at least 3 attemps, being told first 2 times "due to enhanced security i need to update my info" which i do, then when signing in i am told my information is incorrect, so...... back to updating my info again. verizon folks, you have a problem with your sign in page, you need to take a look at it.

At first I thought this was temporary, but seeing that this has been like this for over 3 weeks I am guessing this is going to be permanent.

I have had a Verizon account since 2012. I work from home, and I check my email at least every 15 minutes from early in the morning until pretty late at night. I only have one account/email address through Verizon, so I never have to log out to log into another account. (I WANT TO REMAIN LOGGED IN ALL THE TIME ON MY HOME COMPUTER.) I'm the only person who uses this account, and there is only one computer that accesses the account. I don't access it on a phone. It's just one device, and it's been the same single device since 2012.
Previously, I would log in and remain logged in for a set amount of time (I assume the maximum period of time that you could remain logged in). Then it would ask me to sign in with my User ID, and I would check the box saying to 'Keep me signed in.' Mostly because I don't ever use a public computer, and I DON'T want to be signed out.
Starting today, I've been logged out of webmail every single I time I close the page. I have not, to my knowledge, changed anything about my settings, and I certainly didn't approve this change. I have a million passwords for every website, and I kind of rely on not getting logged out of them constantly. Apparently, this is for my security, but this added frustration doesn't make me feel more secure. Today, as I had done for the last three years, I put in my User ID, checked that I wanted to remain signed in, and input my password on the next screen. Same steps I've always done, but I'm being logged out against my will after I close out the page every time. Oh, and I was also prompted to choose some idiotic picture as a security picture. I don't recall that ever happening before.
As I said, I use my Verizon email/account for my business, and if this is going to continuously cause a problem, I'm probably going to cancel my entire Verizon account. I am NOT inputting my password on this site every 15 minutes for 18 hours a day! What happened and how can I get it back to how it had been yesterday and for the last few years??

Yes, fellow consumer "veryirritated", you're absolutely right.
OPT OUT is key!!! Please refer to my previous post where I describe how they have made it take 10 times longer to sign in, and all the extra steps, none of their settings work, etc.
Listen, please, VERIZON*** Helloooo!!!
"veryirritated"-- since obviously the provider does not look at the consumer's poor experiences, you may as well tell me right here on their forum; if you find a way to retain the fiber optic connection using another provider, kindly let me know. My bad experience appears to be identical to yours. I too want only the internet, don't use TV, and bought ther bundle for the internet. What kind of horrible excuse for upgraded technology is this? It's awful!

Recently I was forced to change my password and select a security question and picture. Since then I have to go through the routine of entering my User ID and password on every visit to the site. Prior to the new protocols, the site remembered me.
Any chance this will be fixed and logins remembered?

I am having the same problem and no one seems to be answering our question. I am using Mozilla Firefox browser but have been for quite a long time. I use to be able to sign in and stay signed in for two weeks, now each time I want to access my email I have to do so. Why can't anyone answer this and correct this problem, Verizon does not seem to be of any help.

Now the option of "keep me signed in for 2 weeks" is gone and I still have to sign in each time.
Is this ever going back to the way it was?

ok, after looking around for a solution for this very same issue...i am actually hesitant in saying anything for the fear of verizon simply further destroying its functionality.
BUT... here goes.
go ahead and duplicate this page in the browser if you want..
LOG OUT of verizon if you are already logged in...now just try to reply to this or any other post...
since you are logged out you will be taken to a NEW page with several different login options. this is apparently the OLD login funcitonality thats still tied in to the forums...the login functionality thats otherwise been ruined by verizon.
from the various radio button options you'll see, select the login with your verizon id option and you will see the OLD login dialog box open right within that page... it still has the previous "keep me signed in for two weeks" option still available.
thats it... cross your fingers.
this seems to have done the trick for me as i was visting the forums a couple of weeks ago looking for a solution to why i had to login several times a day just to view webmail, and i was about add a snarky reply to a mod for their obviously false and disengenuous responses when i ran into this login option because...you guessed it, verizon had already logged me out again lol.
after that,i had been able to view webmail multimple times a day for a couple of weeks, just as we used to be able to until yesterday. i tried logging in using the new "normal" login window and was again Back to being forced to login over and over again.... until i revisted that forum specific login box i describe above.
i hope this works for others that still havent found a workaround to verizons greed/ineptitude.

I'm not happy with Verizon's new sign in policy. What happened to Keep me Signed in? It was nice to sign in once every 2 weeks. Bring that block back we use to check.

The main sigin pages have removed sigin in. There ae a few get arounds (other sigin in pages they haven't changed yet), but this is apparently the planned new design.
Obviously they are doing this because they have had a couple major breaches of their security that they are trying to block. Not sure I don't agree with the concern for the Website. BUT for all the others it is probably best that you move your email to an email client. E.G. Windows Live Mial, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.

There used to be a way to select an option when you logged in to allow me to stay logged into my email longer. There is no longer an option for this and I am automatically logged out in less than 60 minutes. How can this be extended? thanks much.....

OK, I'm starting to really tire of having to sign in everytime I want to check my email on my home computer. Since I have to use my work logon everytime I leave my computer at the office, I can tell you that I don't want the same setup at home. I'm the only one using my computer at home and I don't need to have to sign in every single time. I've been considering getting rid of my AT&T account since their price went up and using only my Verizon account, but maybe that would be nuts. At least I can stay signed in for 2 weeks with AT&T.
The Verizon email page is really terribly designed. There needs to be more space to read the messages and a single link to contact Verizon somewhere, but not so many direct links taking up needed space at the bottom. The Verizon red banner doesnt' need to hog space either. I know that I'm using Verizon! Please shape up this program. Please.

This is so not Verizon. What's going with the signing in problem. It's been 2 months. Really time to change to another provider.

There seems to be confused statements coming out. Supposedly it was planned to not be coming back, as confirmed by Nilda. At least one panel now comments about it being a known problem being worked on.

The only way I can keep myself signed in is to minimize the screen so it goes to the bottom tool bar, then if I want to go to any sites on the internet, I open the browser again, and I use that one to access other internet sites, I can click on the bottom to then view my email when needed. And when done reading email, minimize again. It works for quite a few hours.
Better than signing in a dozen times a day.
