Windows LiveMail 2011 Email via Verizon Yahoo Stopped Working

Somewhere around mid-afternoon today, I stopped being able to send or receive my Verizon email via Yahoo using Windows LiveMail 2011

My settings are:

incoming.yahoo.verizon.net

outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net

Outgoing mail 25

Incoming mail 110

This has worked fine for a long time until today. What is the problem? I tried switching to incoming.verizon.net/outgoing.verizon.net and/or changing the ports to 995 and 465...no luck either way.

Ideas?

Problem Solved...I changed my incoming port to 995 & outgoing to 465 AND checked the secure SSL boxes. Now, up until yesterday I did not have to have that checked and my ports were different...I have not tried this with my original ports...figure I'll just leave well enough alone...Hope this helps someone else...

Yahoo has been having mail problems since November 25.  A problem they were slow to admit existed.  It got worse Monday night.  You can check the following links for details.

Similar problem with Verizon email with Live Mail.

Everything was working fine then was unable to send emails but could receive. I did not change any settings but this has been going on for two days. Verizon no help at all.

Out of no where! I've been down since last night. Using Yahoo Verizon for my OutLook. Can't receive mail but can send it. I've been using the same server settings.

incoming.yahoo.verizon.net  110 - (POP)

outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net  587 - (SMTP)

Currenty sorting through various complaints from other people to try and fix.

In addition the settings listed here, adding "@verizon.net" to the end of my username fixed the problem. I had been successfully logging in using just the part of my email address before the "@" and it worked up until Yahoo's outage last week.
