Hello
I have been using Windows live mail and Verizon yahoo together for over a year
I use Windows mail since I do like the Verizon webmail feel and format
These two program have worked fine for me until yesterday
Today we try to access yahoo mail using Windows live I get a series of errors .
These errors include
1) timeout
2) wrong password
Last night at the recommendation of VZ tech support I deleted my Live account and created a new one for the same yahoo mail address. This worked last night as all me server email were downloaded for Windows live.
However this morning when I access Windows love I get the same errors ay yesterday and no new emails since last night
I have deleted my anti virus program to see if this solved the problem , however this had no impact
Per VZ tech support I am using the correct port setting, I have tried alternative port setting with no luck
I would appreciate any help in fixing this issue
Thanks

I have had the same experience. The answer is to disconnect your verizon email from yahoo email and then to setup your email settings as described in a recent announcement from Verizon that was sent to users that do NOT use the Verizon Yahoo servers.
Anthony_VZ provides instructions in the Verizon Community Forum - Verizon.net topic. I was so disgusted by the time I wasted trying to get support to answer the simple question of what settings I should be using that I was ready to dump Verizon completely. I was eventually sent to Verizon Premium Support that would answer the question for $14.99 per month with a commitment of 10 months. I have no idea if the Verizon Yahoo ports are even compatible with Windows Live Mail any more or not (nomal support is not "trained in Windows Live Mail"). How they can make something as straightforward as providing email client settings for a common client so difficult is beyond me.
As you can tell, I am very angry about the time I wasted on this. Disconnect your Verizon email account from Yahoo and life will be better. Good Luck.

I agree, the only way to fix this issue was for me to drop yahoo mail
Going to regular verizon mail solved my problem
One word of caution if you a secondary user with Verizon yahoo, they will lose their verizon email address
