I am continually having problems with getting my mail on my MacBook Pro using the mail icon. It is set up properly with all the correct Verizon info[confirmed with Verizon tech support] but when trying to get mail it says my password is incorrect. Tech support not helpful and is not a problem with the computer.Is anyone else having this issue and if so do you have a solution? Normally I don't even have to put in my password to get my mail.

Is your Verizon account partnered with Yahoo? Also, have you rebooted Mac since setting up the email app?
@one thing you might try, add @verizon.net to the username field (or remove it if you already have it in there). Sometimes the email servers go weird like that.

It is partnered with Yahoo. I've had tech support three times and they have been unable to fix it either. They say it's a problem with the computer, but I'm sure it's a server problem. I have rebooted my Mac
