why does verizon keep changing my email formats?

I can't even set the width of my colums so I can see who its from. I guess the two letters I see I should know who its from. I think maybe I'll go back to comcast or AOL. Now see if they respond to me.

I don't understand your statements.

I can adjust the width of all of the columns just fine. For example, here is what I have them set to right now:

One disadvantage is that the column width settings I make are not permanent, if I log out and back in they are back to the default settings and I need to readjust them each time if I really want them set differently. But for me the default works very well:

As to your original question, I guess the answer is that Verizon is trying to improve our web-based email experience. Whether you like it or not is up to you; to me, the newest version is better than the previous one, but obviously your opinion may be different.
