1) What are the correct settings for imap?

2) How do I access these settings?

3) I know how to setup Outlook 2003.

Verizon doesn't currently offer IMAP for their email, though it is apparently being looked into. POP3 is going to be the only way for now.

That does not seem to be the case.

Current status from http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Share-Your-Ideas-with-Verizon/IMAP-e-mail/idi-p/238138

Status: Not Likely
We have strategically chosen POP3 Email architecture to minimize storage costs. Please know that each master email account has 2GB of storage and if the user does not POP their email, the email is accessible from anywhere with internet access via myverizon.com.

#1 I went to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WOT to see the meaning(s) of that.

#2 What meaning are you using?

For example War on Terror

#3 Did you mean W-zero-zero-t

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W00t

?

#4 Why WOT OR W-zero-zero-t ?

Thanks.

Verizon now sells all sorts of mobile devices as well as home FIOS etc.  It would seem the majority of users will soon use more then one device. The only way to do email across multiple devices is with IMAP.

When is Verizon going to support IMAP?

NEVAH!!!

At least, as far as all of the information we have available the answer is never.

It would be fantastic if Verizon would come to their senses though...
