Like many Verizon customers I migrated my email to AOL after Verizon purchased AOL and dumped all of its loyal customers to that platform. I am not a particular fan of AOL's webmail platform, but it is better than what Verizon offered.
Here's my problem - AOL Mail is a lousy ad-fest. AOL does offer to upgrade users, ONE ACCOUNT/SUBACCOUNT PER PURCHASE, ad-free email at the mere cost of $4.99 per account. So if I want ad-free email on the several account I my wife, and our kids use I can just break out the checkbook. And I'm told that I get the ads because I'm given the AOL Mail service "free." Has anyone looked at their Verizon bill? And they have the nerve to call my email "free?!"
Verizon - you need to fix this. We're PAYING for your this - give us AD FREE AOL MAIL!
