They work on the page almost every day and that is why we keep losing our 2 week sign in.  Will they ever get it right, probably not.

I use the two week signin and never lose it until the full two weeks is up, so I do not agree with the above statement, at least the part about Verizon working on the pages and that being the reason you lose the two week signin.

I believe the issue you and most others experience with the two week signin not working is that you are deleting your browser cookies at some point, such as every time you shut your browser down. Verizon's websites, like nearly all other websites, use cookies to preserve information about you across logins. In Verizon's case there are lots of cookies put on your computer, but the key one is VOLRememberMe. When you log in and choose the two week option that cookie is created with an expiration date of exactly two weeks in the future.

You can easily fix the two week login issue by not deleting cookies, or at least not deleting Verizon cookies. If you really want to delete cookies, then you may want to install some browser add-on or other program that will allow you to control which cookies are kept, and which are deleted. I use Firefox as my browser and use an add-on called selectivecookiedelete to "whitelist" cookies from certain sites so they are preserved even though it is set to remove cookies when I shut Firefox down.

The two week login actually works. I hope this helps.

Justin,

I on the other hand find the two week signon going away a lot.  Sometimes even when jumping between pages of verizon, and particularly when jumping from the forums to the mail and trying to go back. Never leaving the browser.

I currently have been running for several weeks (since the olympics which hated losing cookies) without my usual option set to delete browsing history on exit (Internet explorer).  I forget if you said you used Firefox, Chrome, or some other browser.  I am stuck using IE because a couple of sites I need have activex that works, and java that is all screwed up.

I am using Firefox, although I have also used Google Chrome and IE without issues.

I wish I had an explanation for what you are seeing, but I don't. I certainly do not experience what you do, I can go from the forums to email and back just fine any time I want without being required to log in again, with or without the two-week login set. I just have to believe it somehow has to do with cookie handling in (your?) IE, some setting you have or maybe some add-on you are using, but I don't know what it might be. Are you by chance using InPrivate browsing?
