verizon.net email account is troublesome. Can I get an account that is not verizon.net based?
e.g. that is not POP3 based.

From Verizon: No.
An alternative would be to switch to another provider. The following link provides some possibilities.

I would like to stay with Verizon FIOS.
If I remember correctly when I first signed up for Verizon many years ago we had the option of getting a yahoo-based EMail (verizon.net) or another. Is that still available?
