Has ANYONE gotten any help from Verizon for excess data charges. We were charged for 264 GB in 4 days of usage - a whopping bill of $4,264.00 - this for two old people and two iphones - using HOME FUSION. We were notified that we had used 90% of our plan - I bumped it up to 12 GB = had no idea that it was at 250 GB my then. Unless we downloaded the Library of Congress, (which we didn't) or watches 3D Porn (which we didn't) there is NO WAY we could have used this much. I have talked with at least 7 techs, 1 Supervisor, and our local store - They say I used it - but cant tell me what device or what I used it on. I can't pay $4000 plus for one months bill and I won't pay for bogus charges. Anyone have similar problems and what how did you resolve it?

Hello "grannygook" and everyone out there who is being over charged for data by Verizon. Verizon will not help. I've tried. You may consider calling a lawyer if you have not already. This is a known issue for Verizon and there have been other class action lawsuits filed. Best of luck to you!
Yes. I've filed a complaint with the Attorney General and BBB and I work for a law firm and the guys I work for are on board for a lawsuit. So I'm going to see where I get with the BBB and AG, then it's a lawsuit, for sure.
I have had excess data usage also. I got online to see if I could view my bill details to get an idea of when it would have been used and can find no way of accessing it. I have internet and phone on same plan. My phone is off for at least 10 hours a day while Im at work and on but not being used while Im asleep. That doesnt leave a whole lot of time for me to use data. My husband is home but I dont know what he could be doing that would cause so much data usage. He is on ebay alot. I have adjusted the amount of data I was paying for a month by what my store said I needed based on past usage. You use to get alot more detail about your usage and call details online than you do now. I find pages that arent helpful or pages are no longer available. Very frustrating. Anyone have any idea how to find more details about when all that data is being used , time of day amount at time of day etc. ?
Unfortunately this is happening to many customers. Those 95% of customers that use less than 2 GB in the past are seeing huge overages. Overages based solely on Verizon Wireless Accounting meters? Who knows if those meters are 100% accurate.
If you have just two cell phones I doubt you can use that much data. Send a certified letter return receipt to your bill address. Dispute the $4,000.00 and then file a small claims case against verizon wireless for that bogus amount.
Now if you have one of those data modems you may have people hacked into that. In which case the whole world could be on it especially if it is not secured.
Again go the route I suggested. There are no more class action lawsuits allowed. Because of the US Supreme courts ruling. Your law firm should know that. But you can sue as an individual and hopefully prevail.
We're working on resolving it now. Filed a complaint with BBB, our state's AG office, and filed a Notice of Dispute with Verizon. All of a sudden, we're getting somewhere. I would suggest doing this too. They had the "notice of dispute" form you have to file with them, but if you google "Notice of Dispute Verizon" its one of the top things to pop up.
I understand your concerns regarding data usage! I also like to know when I used the data I pay for. Please login to your My Verizon account http://bit.ly/xB4iTc then click on the View Usage link on the left side of the screen, scroll down to the data section, and select the phone number you want to review usage for. Have a great weekend!
