I have looked on here for a while and have not been able to find anything. On the nights and weekends is it free to call from the US to someone in Canada or have someone from Canada call to me in the US. Or will it be charged per minute. I have heard that it would be free but don't want to do it until I am certain.
The explanation of international calling plans for Canada is here: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/plan/nationwide-plus-canada
Nights and weekends are part of the a domestic, US only calling plan. Even if you add Canada, the minutes are charged against your plan regardless of when you call. Texting to and from Canada is part of your unlimited texting plan; calling is NOT.
While placing a call to Canada would result in being charged for minutes, receiving a call from Canada WOULD fall under the free nights and weekends program during the eligible time periods.
Thanks for the clarification - you are absolutely correct. Calling TO Canada is not free, but receiving a call from Canada while in the US during a weekend would fall under the nights & weekends free minutes.
