Why was I charged more than what I was initially told?

I added wireless hotspot to my plan. I was told via chat that it would be an additonal $20 per month but when I checked my bill it says $30. I have transcript of chat with Verizon Customer Service. Please advise.

In the old days a 2GB of data hot spot was $20 as it is on my plan. Old nationwide plan. But verizon changed it to $30 for 2GB of tethering for people new getting it.

They must have told you the old price by accident.

Good Luck

No I do not work for verizon. I am a long time customer. I gave you accurate information. Don't shoot the piano player because you don't like the tune!

Additionally the web forum is all messed up as I have been posting. I have to use a cell phone to reply to any post.

Again good luck

What is your regular data allowance? If you are on a tiered plan you can just download an app from the play store like FoxFi to tether.

Lets make sure that everything adds up jrgrimm! We apologize for the miscommunication but we'll make certain that you're on the best option! What plan are you on now? Do you have a 3G or 4G device?

Even if they told me by accident I have it in writing via chat transcript. DO you think this matters?

Makes no difference at all.

On the Verizon contract mistakes are covered.

Good Luck
