Gizmo Watch update- texting allowed

Just found out that there was a massive update to Gizmo watches which apparently allows for custom texting. We were sold on the watches because it only allowed for pre-set text messages, now our kids noses are in their watches texting their friends. Not happy with the update. Does anyone know how to turn this feature off on watches? This isn't what we signed up for.

I have the same problem and do not want my child having this feature either! tech support via chat said they had no idea and couldn't help me....if you can fix it please contact me

I don't see how to manage texts.

We're sorry for the issues you're having Brooke1023. Here are some steps that may help with the text issues you're having. 

 

  1. Open the. GizmoHub app. . If presented with the PIN screen, enter your PIN.
  2. Tap the. Message icon. (upper-right).
  3. Tap the. Menu icon. (lower-right).
  4. Edit Child's Messages. .
  5. Tap any of the messages and customize as desired then tap. Save. (at the bottom).

I have the same problem. How do we change it back? My son has already gotten in trouble, the first day of this update that shouldn't have occured.

Hello, Brooke1023, thanks for reaching out. Once the software update has completed, there is no way to revert back to the previous version.

How do I set up so my child can use the new custom text feature? The watch iOS is up to date but the custom text option is not showing anywhere on the watch and I see no where in the app to adjust the settings.
