Hello. I purchased a samsung galaxy watch 5 a couple of weeks ago and number shared it to my cell phone number. My watch also has its own line and phone number. When my phone is not with me or it's powered off, I can make and receive calls on my watch using my cell phone number. But, if my phone is powered off or not with me, I'm not able to make and receive text messages using my cell phone number. My watch switches over to my watch line phone number and I'm able to send and received text messages on my watch that way. My question is, is there a way to not only make and receive calls on my watch using my cell number(with my phone being powered off or left at home)but to do the same thing when it comes to text messages?

Hello jaajer05. You have an interesting concern. Having number share on your watch and phone basically just links them together for everything. However, we do have some FAQ's regarding this feature that may come in handy. Check it out: https://www.verizon.com/support/numbershare-faqs/
