Samsung watch 4 not connecting to mobile network after repair

My watch 4 classic was sent to Samsung for a repair and now my watch will not connect to mobile network with Verizon. Tech support at Verizon and Samsung no help at all.

I've also spent 16+ hours on the chat line attempting to resolve this issue to no avail.  The agent finally offered to send a replacement 46mm Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic, but what they sent was a 44mm Samsung Galaxy Watch4, not the same watch and not acceptable, nor is the advice to return my "damaged" watch acceptable.  Granted the style change between the watches (bezel et al) may be relatively minor, but I selected the Classic for that rationale.  This really does not seem to be an insurmountable problem, but I'll head to the Verizon retail store today to burn a few more hours there if past device activation history is an indicator (last time was an Apple Watch).  Is anyone seeing a resolution on this issue that doesn't require wresting the tech support bear?
