Hello Verizon, do you ever listen?
All other WP7 phones are getting updated, why are you holding out?
If it wasn't for "the network", I would have left a long time ago! Your product support and customer service are horrid!

If we do not get an update, i will probably use one of these methods to get it anyway. Wanted to post in case you guys were interested.

Yes, we're gonna get an update. European Version of the HTC Trophy already gotten the update. It's just a matter of time till we get our own CDMA version out and running. I'm also considering updaing my entire rom just so I could get 7.8 but it's a bit too risky for something that could be updated automatically any time.

I know you are only doing your job, but I hope that this reflects how much the Verizon customers would like the Windows Phone 7.8 update for their HTC Trophys. If we knew there was going to be an official update, this would not be a problem. Thank you for being quick to amend my post to comply with the forum ToS.

Are you sure that the other carriers in the USA have released it to their WP7 phones? This discussion on another forum suggests otherwise. Link

I would like to think that Verizon will give us the 7.8 update. But if how I was treated at my verizon store when i first got my windows phone is any indication....i doubt it. Not sure how stores in anyone else's areas work but the one in my town is so android loyal its disgusting. I was actually laughed at, when I brought my windows phone in to make sure I activated it right. Not because of the fact that just checking to see if i set it up right.....but because I was "dumb enough" to get a windows phone.

Still waiting for word on the update.......seriously, this is almost enough to make me switch (if AT&T wasn't so bad in my area I would). I'm personally not a huge fan of HTC, but it was the only WP available at the time.
Any word VZW???? Nothing??? Silent as usual.....

No local Verizon or tech support employee will know when is the update available; however there are ways to update your Trophy without the wait (and hassle believe or not) but I'm not allowed to tell you how since Verizon will delete my post as well. All I can tell you is that if you look around you'll find a way to update your phone. I found my update so I'm done waiting for Verizon to finally release a version that supports their paid Wifi Sharing option.

So does anyone else find it interesting that VZW is so quick to respond to breeches of the ToS, even going as far as deleting posts that would lead customers to a working solution for the issue, yet they have yet to offer an answer or any information on the issue themselves.
I not only find it interesting, I find it infuriating!
