The phone does not have Backup Assistant loaded, nor can I find an app on the Marketplace. I would like to transfer everything to a HTC One M8 Windows phone.

That's odd Sandslinger, but I definitely understand how important it is to have your contacts backed up. This phone is not compatible with Backup Assistant. However, you can backup using Exchange, Gmail, Facebook, and Windows Live. I apologize for the inconvenience.
