Lost my LG Cosmos. can you recommend a *safe* online GPS phone-finder?

The volume is turned down, and it's probably dead by now.  I was about to use GPSphonetracker.org, but some "this site is a scam / unreliable" came up.   How does one know what's safe to use to find an LG cosmos?

IF the phone is dead, you can't find it by GPS.

Android Device Manager through Google is the safe way to go. You can do this on a computer or different phone.

But as I said, if the phone is dead, you can't locate it

MY bad for not checking.  I assumed it was an LG Android. My method is definitely wrong in this case.  Thanks pherson
