Why is Verizon ignoring WP users?

I don't get it. Is it that hard to come out and say "Yes, we will be pushing out Cyan/Denim for sure, and will be aiming for "xyz" date. At this rate I'll be jumping from WP 8.0 to WP 10. And that is if Verizon even carries them. I've been with Verizon for years and really don't want to have to switch to another carrier.

Basically the same question over at AT&T has great support for WP, why not VZW?

when I purchased the icon for myself and another family member I asked about the 8.1 update and was told by the sales rep. " I don't see any reason why the phone wouldn't be updated ". my feelings are simple, a cell phone and particularly a phone with a data plan is a luxury. If I feel I'm not getting the customer service for the product/service I am paying for I can just do without it. and quite frankly nothing would make me happier than to pay one less bill a month. so the question to Verizon and their stock holders is, how would you feel not getting my payment every month?

About the same as you would having a non working phone.

For every windows phone user that leaves, two or more android and iOS phone buyers sign up for service.

My stocks are doing great!

I had a Windows phone 5 years ago for about 10 Days the model I got was suppose to be the 1" phone out on the market, I got it shortly after my Black Berry which I really Liked, but that thing was terrible to figure out how to run and there was no help at that time to reach out too,  and the Reps that worked at the store that sold it too me could care less about helping or didn't know how to run it either,  so I just took it back.. got my money back.

Are you talking about Windows Mobile?  Windows Phone is about 4 years old now.

Yep that's the good ole Windows Mobile (Phone) with HTC's Touch interface slapped on top if it.  In 11/2010 Windows Phone 7 was released which was a replacement/upgrade of Windows Mobile.  Granted Windows Phone 7 was basically a rush to get rid of Windows Mobile but it wasn't ready for prime time.

I when from a Palm Trio 700WX to an HTC Touch Pro II running Windows Mobile.  Then purchased the Nokia Lumia 822 and upgraded (via the Microsoft Store) to the now retired Icon.

I thought I could figure out how to use it, I done so well with my Black Berry..  but at that time I didn't have a computer to were I could go on-line for on-line help and as I pointed out the Reps at Alltel were 0 for helping one of em told me he used his for other than what it was intended for not sure what that was I didn't go into with him about it, so with that, I returned mine back to the store.
