Hi Folks,
I'm coming from a Samsung Alias into a Trophy 7. I've been waiting patiently for this thing to come out. Super excited to finally have it.
however, I can't figure out how to get my contacts into my phone. There doesn't seem to be a backup assistant app available. Is there some super secret trick?

dunno if there's another way, but here's what i did...
exported my contacts from https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.com/ba/secure/backupassistant.action as a .csv file.
uploaded them to my contacts in gmail. sync'd on my phone. win!

Yup, backup assistant isnt supported on Windows Phone 7 yet, so you'll have to use BUA on your alias to get your info backed up and then export it to a CSV file and import it into hotmail or gmail. Pretty simple. That's what happened when the droids first came to verizon. BUA wasn't supported and thats how you got contacts over.

I had a blackberry storm and just went to the store and they transferred them for me for free.
ALSO if you have a unlock pass code on your windows phone you have to remove it to import your contacts. The Verizon Store number transfer device will say you need to delete an account but really you just need to remove your unlock pass code. Process took all of 30 seconds once we figured that out.

Hi TBHouston,
Zune is used solely to get your music, videos and podcasts from your computer to your phone. This feature will not assist in backing up your contacts.
Thanks,
