Ok so I still have a basic cell phone with no data package. For some reason I am not getting messages that re being sent to me by a smartphone. I receive a text message and when I look at m phone it tells me a few words but once I actually open the text message it tells me (page) ad nothing shows. It seems most of the time it is with an iPhone . Is there a way to ix this problem or is Verizon making it so that everyone has to get a smartphone! I am paying for service to receive and send text messages but I am not receiving text messages but from certain smartphones and this is getting very frustrating .
Let's see about getting those messages through to you. If it only happens with a message from an iPhone, it is likely a setting in the iPhone that needs to be changed. If they go to Settings > iMessage, they need to turn on 'Send as SMS when iMessage is not available. Have them check that setting and see if that fixes it.
