Activate New Imagio

I have attempted to activate my new Imagio online. It is showing up on the  "My Verizon Home" as being activated. When I dial *228, I get a message saying the number or code I have have dialed is incorrect. Then a message pops up say the programming is unsuccessful? If I try to dial any other number it says the phone is not activated.  Any advice?
