Help. My LG Cosmos (not touchscreen) loads the Shop Apps screen automatically when it's been sitting unused for a while and I touch OK to unlock. I have been to the Verizon store twice to get it to stop and no one can seem to help me. Does anyone know how to stop this. I also get little messages about local weather, etc that are unwanted. I feel like I am being forced to put up with these "commercials" for Verizon....

Me too! I am on here right now searching how to get rid of these apps, when my phone is not even connected to internet. I hate that feature!

Got a reply to my email to Verizon Support. Not sure if it will work, but I tried changing all my Shortcut settings to Messages. Try it to see if it works for you.
The directional (up, down, and sideways arrows) keys on a phone
like your LG are not only used for navigating but they are also used as
shortcuts to access certain menus. From what I read in your email, it
sounds like one of the directional keys may be set to a shortcut to the
Media Center menu and you may accidently be pressing it when you go to
unlock your phone. Please follow the steps below to change the
directional keys shortcuts:
1). From the main screen, press OK to choose MENU
2). Select Settings & Tools then press OK
3). Select Phone Settings then press OK
4). Select Set Shortcuts then press OK
5). Select Set Directional Keys then press OK
6). Select a directional key then press OK to choose SET
7). Press the right soft key to choose Options, select the desired reset option then press OK
8). Select a function / feature then press OK
Note: If you do not have the option to
choose "none," you may want to choose a menu that does not require data
transmission, such as "Messages."
