Hi there Bsmith9918!
I'm so sorry to learn of the fate of your old Samsung Intensity 2! I am happy to know that you have a new phone however. Retreiving your contacts is absolutely important and I will be delighted to review all possible options with you.
You mentioned the screen is cracked on your Intensity 2. Are you still able to power on and view menu options on it? If so, we may be able to temporarily reactivate it and run Backup Assistant to back up your contacts to our online service. Here's information on how to activate your phone: http://vz.to/1clKCEr and how to use Backup Assistant: http://vz.to/13t8F0Q
Once Backup Assistant has completed you can power down the Intensity 2 and go through the same activation steps listed above to reactivate your new phone.
You may be able to take your Intensity 2 to a store location to transfer the contacts as well, however they would need to be able to view menu options and at certain stores there may be a cost for the transfer. Here is our store locator just in case: http://bit.ly/3SdsA
Unfortunately if the screen is unviewable due to the damage we wouldn't be able to obtain any information from the device. Keep in mind you can view your previous call details online to obtain numbers you may recognize. Here's information on how to retrieve previous bill details online: http://vz.to/1gwN3bb
Thanks!

The basic phones use Backup Assistant to transfer the contacts to your MyVerizon account. If you got another basic phone, then you will use the Backup Assistant on the new device to restore the contacts from your account to the phone.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
