Caller forwarded to voicemail randomly mid conversation

This morning, a friend of mine called me and in the middle of our call he just dropped on my end but on his end, he had been routed to my voicemail, which required him to hang up and call me back.   Middle of the day, I was on the phone with someone else, and I was suddenly routed to her voicemail multiple times within a few minutes mid conversation.   Again, I had to hang up and call back.   Any ideas

outkast370,
Well this is not something that we hear everyday! So sorry to learn that you are having these troubles. I'm happy to see what we can do to get this resolved. What make/model phone do you have? Has this only happened with this one particular contact?

Yeah it wasn't a problem that I found anywhere on the message boards:)

I had this happen with two separate contacts, one of whom I called, the

other called me. Both are Verizon customers as well. One of them has an

iphone the other an android phone. The only common denominators appeared

to be me and Verizon.

I have an HTC One(m8) with the windows 8.1 operating system, it's about 2

months old.

thanks for taking a look, let me know if you find any possible solutions!

That certainly is a strange occurrence nstodghi. I welcome the opportunity to assist you with this matter. Is this happening with several callers or certain callers in particular. Do you use any Google Voice or similar 3rd party application or program that would reroute your calls? Let us know. We're here to help.
