I Do not want text messaging on my cell phone. Can I downgrade to another phone without text messaging?

ALL phones have the ability to send/receive text messages. You can call Verizon and have them block your line from sending/receiving them, though.

Wrong. I tried that and was told they can't do it on there end and it is impossible on my end since there is nothing listed anywhere to do that.
