Can I deactivate my iPhone and galaxy 5 and go to a basic talk phone?
You can but depending on when you signed your last contract when purchasing a smartphone and what plan you have, you may still have to continue paying a minimum of $30 for data on the line even if you are not using it.

thinking of switching to just text and talk on all lines, with my old versa and Samsung flip
I am hoping they will allow me to keep with Verizon for this only and sell my smartphones
