Can send but not receive video messages

As the title says, I am able to send a video message to someone, provided it is less than a minute long, however I cannot seem to receive a video message back even if it is only 5 seconds long. I have tried adjusting settings but no luck so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated as video messages were a big part of why I got one of these phones.
