Can't get videos to transfer from LG Extravert to laptop

I have no problem downloading pics off my phone, but can't get the video I have to download.  Went to explorer button/e as stated on help page, it didn't work.  How I downloaded pics and it should have worked for video was going to tools, mass storage, and downloaded to windows live.  Thanks in advance for any help.
