You DO get a discount if you bring your own equipment. It's either $15 if you have 8GB or less data plan or $25 for 10GB or more per line not on a contract on the More Everything plan.

If people saw my initial posts before I was called a troll, shill, and such. Just like how you are trying to paint us in a bad light in a different way other people have been. So can you get off your high horse and acting like you are taking the high road.
There is no denying 6 years of data what people currently are doing is going to work. Millions of complaints about this very issue on various carriers and devices. If they want to change the results they have to change what they are doing... That's all I said and the data is there staring at them in the face. Look at Europe and how often they get updates. Look how HTC and Motorola changed how they've done things due to European pressure. I initially stated a different way with a chance to get different results.
If you want to talk argument. There is very little difference between a discussion and an argument. A discussion WILL have arguments within them. Arguments are always based on difference of opinions.
By what you are saying. Maybe people who hear a difference of opinion need to grow a backbone. If they can't handle it maybe they need to not post things on a public forum where people can voice their opinions which may differ from theirs.

This is where the behavior of Verizon is so egregious. You can bring your own phone / tablet and even though Verizon is required to be open to *all devices* they still refuse to allow people to connect. A device can be designed for Verizon frequencies, pass FCC violations and they will still refuse to allow it on their network despite being required to as part of the spectrum acquisition. If anyone wants to see just how awful Verizon is in that regard, take a look at the posts about Verizon on buzzmachine.com.

Forums like this are a HELP forum. Not a vent and start an argument thread. As a person who comes here to vent, I as another customer have the right to vent or respond back to that rant. It really is that simple.
Agree in general, but in the context of Verizon not behaving in a consumer friendly way venting on these forums is extremely helpful to anyone researching whether or not they should consider Verizon as a carrier. If a potential customer goes into a Verizon store they will be advised that if they buy a phone updates will be made available. Anything to get a sale. When potential customers see people venting about the lack of transparency, possible deceptions, etc... it can be extremely helpful and if it's Windows Phone they are interested it may help convince them that an alternative carrier may be in their best interests..

I can agree to warn potential customers. However mostly existing customers utilize the help forum.
In that case the venting is just to current customers. Which would be a waste of venting.
Granted tricking the public or not giving a full disclosure to make a sale is dishonest. But you would expect that from sales.

I don't know if I'm happy to hear this or more pissed that the support person AT A CORPORATE STORE that helped my setup a new SIM for my self purchased 822 didn't ever tell me this.. over a year ago. I need to find the details. Seems like someone might be owing me some cash. Thanks for the tip.

It's humorous when people try to justify the reputations they have earned. (Or companies...) They are the only ones who can change those reputations. They are the only ones who can change how they are perceived.

Based on what you said... Why should I care on what people perceive me to be? They are just words right? These people are strangers.
As I said before multiple times my initial response to these threads were something different because currently people want change, but keep doing the same thing over and over and over and over. Something has to change right? If what you are doing isn't working and millions of people before you did the same thing and hasn't worked then you have to change what you are doing. I showed an alternative based on what seems to be working. I got called a troll, shill, and such. Then people passed misinformation and there's data out there that shows this misinformation.
