When the Convoy 3 is closed the right front button is supposed to allow lock and unlock. When pressed it will lock or the phone will lock itself, but when you try to unlock you get a message to press and hold the left front button. Following this instruction does nothing and the only way to unlock the front is to open the phone, close it, and then activate whatever menu command you are interested in before the phone locks itself. Has anyone found a way to unlock the front menu without opening the phone.

Gml27, That is a great question. That seems to be way to many steps to get your phone to unlock. Was the unlock feature working for you before? If it was when it did actually stop working? Here is a link to make changes to the lock screen: http://vz.to/1fB2mvF Another thing here is a link to the full support page for your device: http://vz.to/19InNdP Keep us posted.
Thanks,

Thanks for trying. None of this helped. The only way to unlock the
phone is to open it up. Not a huge issue because you have to open the
phone most of the time anyway. Its a minor inconvenience if you want to
use the front menu or flashlight because you first have to open the phone,
close it, and then quickly activate the front menu before the phone self
locks again.

Thanks for trying all of that, gml27. Do you recall if this has ever worked for you?

There are two kinds of locks. When you use a code (this is what your
comment addresses) or just accessing the front screen (no code needed).
The second is the one that does not work with as its supposed to and
therefore your suggestions were not relevant.

Thanks for confirming gml27. Has the secondary lock feature you are referencing ever worked? When was the last time you tried a battery pull? This is a good recommendation for a soft reset on the device, which can help with many different features on the phone. http://tiny.cc/i4gr8w
