Is there a way to find files on my 8X, such as ringtones that I've downloaded but do not show up in my list of available ringtones?

That is a great question! I absolutely understand the importance of having available customization options for your device. When it comes to ringtones all supported formats will be viewable on your ringtone selection screen. My apologies that unsupported files will not be loaded for selection on device.
