I have an old flip top phone. It is a LG VX5400. I have pictures on there that I would like to transfer over to either a tablet or computer. I was told I should be able to do it by bluetooth. I get the devices paired but there is no option to send by bluetooth, only to send by text or picture message. Any help on how to transfer. Once I find out how to transfer the pictures to either the computer or the tablet, I am going to see about an upgrade to a smart phone. Thanks!!!

If there is no share via Bluetooth showing on the phone you probably can't. Open a text and you can type in an email address and attach a photo and send that way then access the email on your other device.

Thanks for your reply! That is the way I always used to do it, was send it to my email. That no longer works as it comes up invalid destination address.

Looking at the specs of the phone, Bluetooth push is only for vcards (and you probably don't have a huge use for that!)

bearly3031, we certainly want to make sure you have those precious memories backed up & transferred to your computer. With there not being a way to do it by Bluetooth, you can try to do this with cable plugged into your computer to transfer. Have you tried that? Does your computer recognize your phone that way? -Alicia

I don't believe that this phone can be connected to the computer. I guess I am going to give up as I think this is a Verizon tactic to get people to upgrade to smartphones. Why would you just turn off the email so that you can't send pictures? It was able to be done before and now because it is an older model phone, poof!!! you just stop it so you can't send picture messages to your computer anymore!!! Well before I upgrade to a smart phone with Verizon I will move on to another better company. Been with them for over 20 years but I guess its time to move on to another company who respects all their paying customers, not just the customers who spend 100's of dollars a month on smartphone service!

What exactly happens when you send from text to your email? Can you send from your email to text ok? Years ago with the flip phones you could get a cable to hook them to a computer and use bitpim to download the photos. Haven't done it in years so no clue if that program is still around.
