When I try to make a call over bluetooth in my Ford Fusion (through Sync) with my Nokia Lumia 822, I am getting an "In Privacy" message. The person on the other end can't hear me, I can't hear them and the call ends up hanging up. The call does go through but the person can't hear me. I shut the phone off, restart, try again and sometimes it will go through. I looked through the Ford manual and my phone options but cannot understand why this keeps happening. I never had this issue with my Droid phone. Anyone else having this issue?
Did some searching and see if this works, http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/2647-sync-defaults-to-privacy-mode-if-takemake-call-with-phone/
I have noticed that the phone will choose privacy mode if you answer it using the phone and not the Sync system. I have also noticed that if the Sync system comes on line while you're already on a call, it will often, (Not always) Default to privacy.
