Hi, I just upgraded from an HTC Trophy to the HTC 8X and everything was working fine the first day of use. Now, about 98% of the time I'm getting "No Service" and at the very least I'm getting two bars, but that only lasts at most 3-5 minutes before going back to no service again. I haven't been able to receive calls, all calls I make are dropped and texts I try to send fail. The SIM card is brand new and was put in the day I activated the phone. I've read multiple forums of people having the same problem; hard resetting, changing from Global to LTE/CDMA and toggling Airplane Mode haven't fixed the problem... heck I even tried the scotch tape trick on the SIM card with no luck. Please help, I was really enjoying this phone until this problem sprung up.
Still having the same problems this morning. I tried going outside, even driving around town to see if I could get service anywhere and I can't.
Sounds like the phone may just be defective, you should call CS and get a warranty replacement.
