HTC Announces Radar and Titan

HTC announced two WP7 Mango devices today:

The Titan looks pretety sweet...and the Radar is a dissapointment to me in terms of spcs, especially the ammount of storage on board.

I really hope Verizon's next WP7 device is something in line with the specs on the Titan, and not something like the Radar.

Titan looks like the specs I've been waiting for. Slap a TP2 keyboard on it and I'll be waiting for midnight to roll over on launch.

Except I doubt it'll be coming to VZW ever, and finding a good phone with a good keyboard is well, one comes around about once every two years. And the Pro7 didn't even come to VZW...

I think though I would still pick up a Titan without a keyboard to be honest. Those specs are too hard to pass up and the screen is actually big enough to handle a touchscreen qwerty.

Hopefully VZW's been listening but some how all they seem to care about is how many Droids they can sell.

Come on VZW, PLEASE.... Don't make us wait for the Nokia phones. Because that's seriously my last hope and I don't want to wait another year for that. My TP2 is like 2-3 generations behind now.

I use to be a keyboard guy too, but trust me, a phone with a capistive touch screen and a good on screen keyboard like WP7 has, you won't mind not having one.

In all honesty, I think they are on the way out.  I wouldn't even want one anymore.  I like the phone to be thinner and more slick looking.  Can't do that with a keyboard.  Just something to drive the price up thats not needed with the size screens of phoens now, and the improvement with on screen keyboards.

I tried the HTC Trophy for a week and couldn't get rid of it fast enough - I like WP7, but I missed my keyboard too much.

I've had my Trophy since the day after internet release, and thought I would miss the keyboard after having had a slide out since 2006, but I miss it FAR less than I had expected.  The capacitive screen and on screen keyboard are good enough that I believe I can type faster with it than I ever could with my slide-outs.  There are times that I miss it, but they are increasingly rare.

Hey Verizon...the HTC Titan is the EXACTLY the type of phone most WP7 users want.  How you stop releasing an Android phone every day of the week and give WP7 a little love for once?

According to HTC web site, Titan and Radar only supports Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks (Titan, Radar), so there's little chance they are getting on VZW network.

While it is true that these phones CURRENTLY only support GSM etc, that is how Trophy and Arrive started out in the world.  VZW Trophy and Sprint Arrive are nothing more than updates to phones that were released 6-8 months earlier as GSM only devices.  Glad we get cutting edge on Verizon, huh?  But if Verizon were to tell HTC they wanted these phones, you can bet HTC would put a CDMA radio in it, and they'd probably leave in the GSM radio so they can call it a world phone.
