Nokia Lumina 822. Can someone shed some incite on how to reboot my phone after a virus infected it and I cannot access the main screen. Tried the power and volume trick still nothing.

I'm sorry to hear about your phone, Rt_1. Viruses can be a real hassle. In fact they make me sick. No pun intended. There are only two methods offered to complete a hard reset. It sounds like you've already attempted the alternate option. What were you using when the virus attacked your phone? Was your phone purchased in the last 12 months?

Virus on Windows Phone?  I don't think so.

To do a soft reset is hitting the Power an Volume Down button till it vibrates and reboots.

To perform a hard reset (you will loose all data doing this), press the Volume Down, Camera and Power buttons at the same time. Hold all three buttons down until the phone vibrates then release power button and hold volume down and camera for a further five seconds.
