I know that verizon isn't doing the upgrade willingly, but the dev program upgrade is available from MS. Has anyone done this for their Lumia 920 or other phone? If so, what have been your results thus far?
I've upgraded my Icon to 8.1 and it's a big step forward from 8.0. No regrets so far.
8.1 on my Lumia Icon is awesome! Cortana is terrific - better than Siri IMHO by a wide margin. The entire operating system runs very smoothly and is very responsive. You can run it through the Preview for Developers, free with a dev account or an app studio account (both free to sign up).
